We are nearing the halfway mark of 2022 and H&G is closing down for the summer.
Some of you may know the concept of the Norwegian summer common holiday, but for those who don't - it's a period during the summer where most Norwegians will leave work for about 3 weeks to get some R&R in the sun. At H&G we close down the entire studio for the duration of July to give everyone ample time to recharge. Game development is hard work and it's important for us that everyone has the time they need to take care of their health and personal lives. It's also really good to get some time away from the studio and come back rested, excited and inspired.
Before we sign off, though, we have a handful of exciting developments to share with you all!
Pode Kids is now out on Android world wide. No adds, no pay walls, no clutter, just fun activities for the kids (and anyone who likes colouring and music).
Check it out on Play Store!
We are finally moving forward with Project Nenia!
One of the issues we've been having is due to the experimental nature of the game. Although we’ve seen a lot of interest in the game, there’s been a significant demand for a more substantial demonstration of the finished product before anyone can fully commit to fund the entire project. We have now found the funds to make a vertical slice, which is a huge step forward! This slice will focus on gameplay, feel and audio-visual concept. We'll be starting up in August and we’re super excited to be able to focus on this project for a while.
We've also made a few additions to our team to help with Project Nenia.
Richon (Technical art)
William (3D + animation)
They both really impressed us during the application process and so we’re very happy to have them both on board and looking forward to seeing what they’ll add to the mix.
And with that we want to wish you all a great summer!
